While in Calif. we had experienced a small one. A terrifying experience. Can’t imagine how one would react with a big one. But at that moment nothing else would come to mind accept running outside....
I can imagine how terrible it is when natural disaster strikes. That's when the fear of the end approaching gives us a totally helpless feeling. I can relate to this feeling fully well, trying to reach out to your brother. Hope your elder brother is fine now. In 26th July 2005, we had floods in Mumbai. My whole house was flooded and we lost everything. Luckily, my husband, my daughter and me, saved our lives. In fact, this is our second life now.........10
I could enjoy this poem better in the wake of a similar disaster in our state, not an earthquake but a flood! This was exactly the nature of messages exchanged between siblings, close relatives and friends, After a while, it was all silence as all the means of communication got cut! Enjoyed the fun!
A fascinating poem that shows the relationship between brothers. When natural disaster happens and hits us our immediate relatives are the ones to be notified first. A heartwarming poem full of fun.
Swain strikes again, ....with a comment. Thanks, Dillip. ;) bri
