This is a wonderful poem of Praise, Liza. An important element in its success is that do not just praise Balmont but show WHY he deserves this praise, that is, you prove the points you're making and by the end I was convinced, no, that's the wrong word - I was persuaded! ! by both your eloquent and ordinary language. Your images of Balmont are really amazing but they work, like his universal eye and his relevance to all people, not just Russians. And I like how you inrterpret Brodsky's position in the light of discovering Balmont. It's a balanced position.
