The Beach Poem by Jennifer Birchall

The Beach

Rating: 4.8

On the beach is a small dirty patch
It contains all the darkness of your past
All the bitterness, hurt, pain, hate you feel
All the sadness, guilt, shame and hopelessness
You can stay stood in that soiled spot
Or you can step outside
On to the soft golden sand
That covers the rest of the beach

An interesting concept write to remain amongst all the wash up debris of life or to stroll to cleaner waters

A poignant write. Too, making that choice to leave it all behind. Often so very hard though the beach itself is a true healer. Through our lives we take on many challenges and deal with so much heartache. So letting go of the darkness should be a new breath for life. Thank you
