Dear Vakeriem thajnk you so much for your response. Yes, women need to stand for their rights but some women are not strong enough to defend themselves, that is why we need solidarity, or groups that can support the suffering women.

All too common an occurrence - women need to make a stand against this kind of treatment and remember their self respect. They should not be afraid to seek help. Well expressed.

Thomas, it is indeed very difficult to break the chain. A way of dealing with the situation is unconditional love to the woman we want to be freed from violence. But often we do not have much time to give because in our personal life we too, have our own concerns that need undivided attention. Drunkenness is also a societal problem which I believe any government must have the political will to deal with. Thank you so much for your response.
