I staggered around to a corner
And tried to check how much I've achieved
But when I found almost nothing,
I realized I've been sleeping.
I thought about the wonderful things I've done
Like saving the happy moments I've craved
But as soon as I washed my face,
I realized I've been dreaming.
Life will always take us to unwanted places
Where we'd find the unwanted faces
But once we realize our stupidity,
We'd change and get back in touch with reality.
I've been a victim to the wiles of life
I've had enough so I have my eyes wide
Reading every page and proving every statement
Counting every step; watching every movement.
Money can buy you love;
Poverty will get you nothing.
The Bible is our life manual
And knowing God is everything.
I no longer trust the mainstream media,
‘Cause I've seen they're nothing but puppets
It's by listening to them I learnt,
That truth has kicked the bucket.
Teenage years are deceptive
Childhood is fun
Adulthood is where life begins
It's where challenges are born.
