The Autumn Rain

Ask God if it's wisdom you require
In faith He will give you your desire,
Do not doubt like a wave tossed at sea
Blown in all directions, like grass o'er the lea.

Stand firm, stand firm, stand for the test
Receive the Crown of Life at His behest,
He does not change His love will endure
His every gift will always be pure.

Keep love in your heart be humble and meek
For out of the heart the mouth shall speak,
Treat all His people with the same love
That He pours on you from up above.

Be quick to learn and slow to speak
Tame your tongue but do not be weak,
Be strong in faith do many good deeds
Comfort all brothers and tend their needs.

Submit to God and receive His grace
He rejects the proud from His dwelling place,
Do not judge, you have no power
Leave it to Him, at the chosen hour.

Be patient, the Lord will come
Sow your corn like the farmer's son,
He waits and waits for the Autumn rain
Be patient, His love will be your gain.

Pray for each other, be happy, rejoice,
Sing your songs, shout with one voice,
The sins of the wanderer He will forgive
Then in God's love we all shall live.
