There was bronze image for sorrow to endure it ever. But he created an image in bronze for pleasure for the moment! It's a nice creative idea by Oscar Wilde!

A psychological lesson on how goodness, pleasure and happiness will overtake and bury sorrow, gloom and depression in one's mind. This is a necessity for survival with sanity in this world. Great poem.

A bit of ritualism. Why is there a desire for the death of any one image in order to to believe in another image? Does the soul need an image in order to believe in an idea? Art is an expression both given and received (and, as such, shared among us) , but is not the fundamental basis for the existence of the idea shared.

And he took the image he had fashioned, and set it in a great furnace, and gave it to the fire. And out of the bronze of the image of The Sorrow that endureth for Ever he fashioned an image of The Pleasure that abideth for a Moment. The oscar Wilde and his imagination.. tony

Now this image he had himself, and with his own hands, fashioned, and had set it on the tomb of the one thing he had loved in life. On the tomb of the dead thing he had most loved had he set this image of his own fashioning, sign of l ove in art.. great Oscar Wilde . tony
