The Architects Of African Politics (& Economies) Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

The Architects Of African Politics (& Economies)

In the annals of African history
A conspiracy of enormous magnitude
Stays hidden
Who are the architects of African politics?
The brokers of dysfunctional democracies
The agents of doom who left the African continent in the hands of tyrants
The evil philosophical masterminds
Gave birth to the "third world" phenomenon
And injected a "third world" mentality into our leaders
Corruption and looting were basically sewn into their DNA
It's not a secret that the African continent is a beautiful place
A place of honey and manna
It's disheartening to see a beautiful jewel
Dilapidated and chronically neglected
It's sickening to see African children
Dying of hunger in a place of plenty
Under the garment of African politics
Lies the most wicked of all philosophies
Totally lacking in all basic tenets of humanity
A horrendous political manuscript (evil Marshall Plan)
Sewn together by despots
Has led Africa away from the rest of the world
Into the terrain of crime, poverty and diseases
The path of wickedness
Wake up Africa, wake up
