The Anatomy Of Love Poem by Lenisha Rangsa

The Anatomy Of Love

Love is pure,
Love is trust,
Love is the warmth I long for in a hug.
Love is false,
Love is fragile,
Love is the echo in an empty chapel.

Love is all it takes
To turn a heartbeat into heartbreak.
Love is soft,
Love is sharp —
A gentle touch, a brutal mark.

Love is serene,
Love is my reign,
A crown I wear through joy and pain.
Love makes me feel seen,
Held in light I thought I'd lost —
Until it vanishes, at a cost.

Love is empathy,
A thread that weaves souls through silence.
Love is connection —
A whisper, a spark, a shared defiance.

But love…
Love is nothing to apathy.
It shatters against the cold of not caring,
Like a song sung to someone who isn't listening.
