i like your writing style...everyday metaphors, ordinary objects to an extra-ordinary stupidy of war. Very realistic and simple...yet lingers in the head. Very beautiful.

Quite a thought provoking work of art, Sydne. I cannot agree with this fight. I lost a great high shcool friend in Afganistan. I don't see death as a necessity in others' happy lives. Best wishes in future writing!
