shaadi ka dheema dard:
jhangaiN, zubaan, meri jaan
laddi hui hain is se,
ye daantoN main dharakta hai
hum milna-jhulna chahtay hain
aur moD diyay jaatay hain, meri jaan
ek doosray se
ye ek magar-macH hai
aur is k pait k andar
hum kucH khushi ko dhoontay hain
jo bahar kahiN paaee nahin jaati
donoN k donoN ek kishti main
shaadi k dheemay dard main

The Ache Of Marriage
Poem by Denise Levertov
The ache of marriage:
thigh and tongue, beloved,
are heavy with it,
it throbs in the teeth
We look for communion
and are turned away, beloved,
each and each
It is leviathan and we
in its belly
looking for joy, some joy
not to be known outside it
two by two in the ark of
the ache of it.
