POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Copyright © Terence George Craddock
Written in September 2020 on the 19.9.2020.
Inspired by the poem 'The Red Wheelbarrow' by the poet William Carlos Williams.
Dedicated to the poet William Carlos Williams.
A nod to Carlos. I was explaining 'The Red Wheelbarrow' by the poet William Carlos Williams to my father, after he called in. I was doing something poetic and he said "I thought all poetry had to rhyme".
So I briefly explained free verse, concrete poetry, and used 'The Red Wheelbarrow' as an illustration, because he had been a carpenter and wheelbarrows were tools of the trade, and a good reference point.
I wrote this because my black acer laptop is... and yet all my poems on this site as Terence George Craddock (afterglows echoes of starlight) , now 3,300
were written on it. Those plus plus yet to come will be also until the black acer laptop falls into silence.
