The Abyss Poem by Prabir Gayen

The Abyss

Rating: 5.0

Abyss

The flower I saw yesterday
is no more,
The fragrance that blew across
the stream is defunct,
The air that passed through
my casement wanders into peace,
Life is slipping into an abyss of dent.

Every moment is a dead moment,
Every breath is wrought with pain,
Life is no more to find in forest,
Light is always a pharisaic delusion.

All the wafting waves cease to be,
Abyss is a formless form of dream,
Life is a deluded no man's landscape,
Deserted island waiting like static stream.

Restless is the lawn of life; Unprovoked,
Death is a false sense of humour;
Crippled.
