The Abiding Presence

The abiding presence of Jesus Christ
Is my strength for daily living
A continual praise from a sinner saved
What cause for great thanksgiving
Yes O the wonder of it all
That Jesus died for me
And showed me worth
Through the "new birth"
Praise God for Calvary

I find myself throughout each day
Saying a lot of" Thank You Lord's"
As simple as it sounds my friend
This is what grace affords
An extension to us sinner's lost
"Come and know your God! "
And then the invitation there
Spelled out in the Word

There is a Redeemer and Jesus is His name
Yesterday... Today... Forever
Forever He'll remain
The Rock of Ages cleft for me
I'm on His promises standing
And I know one hundred percent
Where my soul is landing

Yes heaven has a place awaiting
For me on the other side
And I won't be there all alone
But with the church... His bride
I think that you can well imagine
In the midst of such a throng
When there with all the choir in heaven
We'll sing Redemption songs!

So are you feeling down a little
Let your faith take sight
Of all the people on this earth
Praise God we know the Light
The One who spoke it into being
Hallelujah He lives within
And by that holy Holy Spirit
We'll be forever more with Him
