Super tanka from a super poetess............Top marks and to my favourite
Wonderful poem- tanka - rhythmic and full of joy - the sound of nature - the gentle swishing of leaves, the chirping of birds and the whistling wind....a bliss of solitude.
I have enjoyed the tranquility of a number of abandon places! .. Definitely Beyond #ing! ..++++++++++++++++++++++++
I am lost in this imagery, this beautiful dream! .. I love the feel of this and! .. Amazing title such a perfect place to be! ..
Part 3---Instead of talking trash, you give us God's earth to contemplate and behold in all its beauty. Top marks, my dear poet
Part 2---but you celebrate God's gift to His children: 'the gentle swishing Of leaves in the trees The rhythmic chirping of birds And the whistling of the wind.
The sound of mankind can be so ugly--with its talk of hate, war, racism, sexism, all the-isms that paint our lives a dirty smelly poisonous gray
Better than a picture, better than a film, your poetic description not only perfectly alive but also full of the emotion from the excellent poetry, derrived. To my favorites, **********
Sterling imagery! Great balance. Very evocative. I can visualise the scene in my mind.
I have come across a lot of such enclaves in stories, epics and cartoons. Your great poetic aptitude has digested their significance
I felt myself in an abandoned palace the remnants of which are still fabulous and majestic due to the lonely peacefulness
(continued) ...oops! Let me try again. Rose Marie, No 'woman's' sounds either? ? ? Now, THAT kind of place I might LOVE! ! I gived ***** aka five stars. : ) bri
I think I have visited these ruins, where there is no man there is true peace. Lovely stuff Rose.
Great poem Rose Marie, people need to go out and be with nature, close their eyes and just listen, nature does speak but we have to first listen.
Brilliant short work......once again..... thank u, dear poetess...
2) For, " the gentle swishing Of leaves in the trees The rhythmic chirping of birds And the whistling of the wind" make it a cherished, coveted destination. More so, because man is absent.
