The Abandoned Place - Tanka Poem by Rose Marie Juan-austin

The Abandoned Place - Tanka

Rating: 4.8

No man's sounds at all
Only the gentle swishing
Of leaves in the trees
The rhythmic chirping of birds
And the whistling of the wind.

I think I have visited these ruins, where there is no man there is true peace. Lovely stuff Rose.

I felt myself in an abandoned palace the remnants of which are still fabulous and majestic due to the lonely peacefulness

I have come across a lot of such enclaves in stories, epics and cartoons. Your great poetic aptitude has digested their significance

Wonderful poem- tanka - rhythmic and full of joy - the sound of nature - the gentle swishing of leaves, the chirping of birds and the whistling wind....a bliss of solitude.
