That Thin Line Poem by Raimi Babatunde

That Thin Line

I raved in agony
Unseen forces calling my name
"The earth is my abode"
But they would not let me be
The call of my ancestors
Beckoning on me to come home
Reluctant and stubborn is my spirit
"My time is not now", was my reply
I was drawn in a that line
My only strength was hope
But that was not the last
As the battle was lost.
