That pair of feet
that goes on sprinting from morn till night
like the Earth on her orbit
with no alata, nail polish or pedicure,
with innumerable cracks like open lips
that silently smile to hide limitless stories of sacrifices!
The soft soothing footfall of those feet,
so comforting and gracefully sweet,
a fountain of hope and assurance,
a pool of love and care in abundance!
With that rhythmic footfall my fear flees out of fear,
a promise of security and endless cheer!
Even the plants in our yard and pet animals
are intoxicated with her love so pure and eternal,
a shady bower is her anchal for one and all!
That pair of feet that ticks like a nonstop clock,
never being deterred by any stumbling block,
the ever-beating heart beat of my home
are the footsteps of my Mom,
that I earnestly wish to touch and kiss,
and I never wish to miss that heavenly bliss!
