When I read this poem, two positive thoughts came to me: 1) Regardless of a person's particular religious beliefs, she or he can recite this poem with belief and commitment. It's universal. And even if someone is a nonbeliever and does not worship a personal god - the lord you address, they can still acknowledge the gratitude you express is a worthy response to the gift of life.2) If we started each day with this prayer or a statement like it, the problems that overwhelm us would never get so BIG, because this humble attitude would overwhelm THEM. Thanks for setting things straight.
