Thank The Vets Poem by Randy McClave

I want to thank all the vets
You served our country without remorse or regrets,
I thank those who served our country during warfare
On the land, on the sea, and in the air.
I want to thank all those brave soldiers
Who carried democracy and freedom on their shoulders.
To those who fought for our country overseas
To kill and die for our country on their feet never on their knees.

I want to thank those in our military force
Because of them they changed histories course,
They landed and fought on a foreign land
And with freedom and might they did patriotically stand.
Sadly though many killed and many more were killed
Their destiny under the sun they had fulfilled,
They were our fathers and brothers and our sons
Matching with our flag defending with knives, and guns.

I wanna thank all those soldiers both living and dead
Who knew and believed "FREEDOM" is the greatest word ever said,
Because of them we enjoy the life that we live
And sadly for our freedom their lives for us they did give.
To all the soldiers who served and fought in our many wars
Who came from different beliefs and entered from different doors,
To all those vets who answered the call when our nation did call
With a prayer and a salute I wish to thank them all.
