Thank God For Safety Nets Poem by Scott J. Shepard

Thank God For Safety Nets

These feelings of mine graffiti my eyes
searching to imprint my innermost love
on the world around me.
I can't stand the chaos of a dead-end street,
so I paint hands holding across walls
that lead from every roadblock ahead
to each detour I can conjure up.
This allows all the life in me, in the world
to never stop.
