To describe a state of falling asleep or entering into death, you have brought in three mythological figures, Hypnos, Morpheus and Icelus. With their combined effort, you fell into a state of lifelessness! Condensed and crisp with a judicious probing into Greek mythology! Wonderful write!

So much appreciated, Valsa. Depending on how I read the poem- as death or sleep- I find myself trending between humour and horror...Thank you again.

Silence is regained with the pledge. In silence we have perceived the universal happenings. In dreaming and death life is truly renewed. A brilliant perceptional poem is wisely penned...10

Thank you so much, Kumarmani. And indeed I see the last few lines as either...dreams or death. Thanks again.

the the in Poet's Notes.. and how does Ingrid figure in this? ? oh! not Ingrid. Ingmar! ! Ingrid was a few years older; both born in Sweden. ok, how did Ingmar figure in this? why the pleading/begging? must be some symbolism, or a reader needs to know more than i do! ! ! it's all Greek to me. bri (:

Dear Mark. More than beautiful poem i found this. Life is a myth, for us, our own lives. Awakening isn't more worthy than sleeping. Sleeping is equal restless. If PEACE OF MIND is also a myth! :)

Thank you so much, Muhammad. I think you make a profound observation- -peace of mind is myth.

You are in the story, then surely you are in the circle of Greek mythology then, but you bring them back to the reality...after that sleep hahaha. By the way, a part of that and to be honest my knowledge of Greek mythology is weak, very weak somehow i do get these and learn myself more, thanks for that.
