Texas Highways Xvii Poem by Armadillo Poet

Texas Highways Xvii

Where there is fear there is virility,
Where there is virility there is virus,
And a preacher to chastise the dirty.

Who is to witness to the faces of disease
On those abducted in secret
To Austin-Bergstrom hangars?
Nurses, doctors, and ministers, surely.

Meantime I shop, but see no sickness,
Only the floor stickers, street signs,
And awkward lines of people-
Metered as traffic:

Socially distanced like
Cars up an on ramp,
Or cattle down a slide.

No one likes to face disease caused by a virus like Corona which has threatened the world. This virus has frightened us and every highway and every street remains blank. We have to be careful. We should maintain social awareness and cleanliness. We hope this virus will leave the world soon. This poem is a very thought provoking poem penned for social awareness....10
