We live in a world of our own, never bothering to see what is happening around us! The dismal scenes of children starving, fellow men getting brutally killed, women moving around in torn clothes and torn bodies, all these we conveniently evade, just as we see only the golden sheen on moon's face and ignore the black marks there! A typical railway platform scene!

Yes, we turn a blind eye to such scenes effectively.. In a railway station everyone keeps running as they have a train to catch. But no one looks at the downtrodden and the poor, who are our fellow human beings.. Thank you very much for reading ma'am...

The title of the poem attracted me, as it's a familiar place. And as I read the poem I got a familiar picture of my station too, which is Uttarpara. A very well knitted poem, the beginning is very deep and artistic. But the style of ending has elevated the poem to a different level GO AWAY DON'T STEAL MY BUSINESS.. this is very shocking at the same time realistic indeed. Heart touching poem. Thank you.10

Thank you Sanjukta.. Indeed it's a sorry and shocking sight, but one we see almost on a regular basis....
