Tears Flow Poem by Michael Maxwell Steer

Tears Flow

Tears flow where once flowed song.
In these darkened hours
I sit and muse on time long gone
And words that once were ours.

Notes drop into a crystal vial
And mingle with the flow.
Melancholy, be my friend while
The melody runs slow.

I do not ask for lively airs
or perfumed friendships sweet,
Just some connection with the world where
living people meet.
