Reality is often ambiguous. But sometimes truth strikes you at odd hours. That's when your verse has most rhythm and rhyme. Life is really complicated. It takes a lot of wisdom to figure it out. Still there's always a shadow of a doubt. No reality is totally revealed. A thoughtful write.

From the graphic I get that we can see the boat on water surface but can't see the fish underneath. So reality has layers and we can't really see all of it.
