Life is just a journey a tapestry we weave
Of many threads and colors of friends who stay and leave.
Snags are all the details of the valleys you’ve been through;
The knots are simply mountains where the Weaver carried you.
Look closely at the colors some dark but more are bright,
Just like the roads we travel on, reveal such different light.
Shadows of indifference simply fade away
When all the golden threads of joy mend the fabric of each day.
Surveying the design you’ve made guided by our Father’s hand;
You’ll see a joy He’s given me and maybe understand
Why I cherish friendship as I’ve seen One filled with love
Sharing gifts so willingly it’s a blessing from above.
”Things” don’t have much value, the wiser we become
Our memories are cherished, though we’ve forgotten some.
But none are lost forever just neatly tucked away
And packed into the attic trunk for a very special day.
If I could add to your tapestry, fine threads red and blue
I’d wrap them up with all this joy and give some back to you.
For those who have been richly blessed by One who fills each heart
May your days be filled with HIS joy as you weave a work of art
