Edward has been released on condition he return to burghley house and behave himself. At first he refuses, but after a while capitulates, though still refusing to share his bed chamber with anne.Eventually the queen and edward are reconciled. Now the queen has appointed him, lord great chamberlain. He must perform and entertain for her but he spends his time with fenton and the gang, touring london's inn's.His right arm is lame so anne must right the plays and poetry for him.
It is one o'clock in the morning and anne is at her desk. She works by candle light to finish the plays for edward. When she finishes her work, she blows out the candle and heads to her bed chamber, alone as usual.Anne is pregnant and will soon give birth.
