The first ray of sun touches like a kiss.nice! thanks for sharing this lovely poem. 10++++
A beautiful paint on sunrise has been done. The darkness of the night is getting thinner, sky is looking crimson red, sun is giving golden rays. It creates first kiss of love in closed eye. Fantastic expression. Thank u dear madam, for sharing this lovely gem.10
I read it again and it was as fresh and delightful as the first time. Lovely! ! ! You joined that gentle first kiss of love with the soft and gentle moments of dawn and you did so Perfectly! ! Absolutely resonates with the magic of a first kiss. I'll give it another 10 but I have no idea if PH allows duplicate votes but I'll give it a try.

The first kiss of love- - that is the most evocative image! ! ! Who doesn't remember that kiss? You put your reader right there in that soft first light of sun. Bharati, I always love the delicate touch of your poetic pen.

Thank you very much for your kind words which feel like first shaft of morning sun.
Simply beautiful. This is as good a description of morning as i have read.10
Everything depends on that phrase AS IF! I too use that phrase in my poems. I consider it an ultimate poetic experience to imagine something longed for and to experience it imaginatively, even though real life may never make it happen. The first three lines are lush images of sunrise, all three of them conveying pleasure and delight. The tenderness of line 4 is especially welcome: the closed eyes could either mean you're sleeping still or you're waiting for an imminent kiss or BOTH! But the gentleness of the moment is completely felt as good and true. And that brings us to the AS IF statement which ties up the poem.
A wonderful Tanka dear poetess.... just wonderful.5 stars.
