Tale Of Teller Poem by Hossain Shohag

Tale Of Teller

Rating: 3.0

Why do you stay so far away? My love—
I fly to reach you, soaring like a dove.
I reunite Seoul, Busan, just to meet—
Also swim across Han— no easy feat.
I long to feel your hug, my dear Mehek—
Don't stand upon the riverbank, but check,
The tide's upward flow— it's magic, believe—
Your kiss, my elixir— grant and receive.

Sink down my ship, and I'll belong to you—
Your prisoner, oh my blonde Calypso.
We'll craft a tale that history will tell—
Our love a myth, immortal— as well.
All Suwon shall recall us, yeok by yeok—
"Back in the days when tigers used to smoke..."
