Taking A Dive Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Taking A Dive

She swims to me with open gills
Though I cannot swim
I met her half way.
One foot plunged in front of the other,
Where I gasped she breathed
Beside the colorful corals,
My lungs found home
In the bottom of her sea.
My lips a castle she can always
Run & hide
In due time, I too will sleep with my
Eyes open
My lips a place she calls home
