Take time to

Even if you have to respond quickly
take a respite and think momentarily
is it more important to prove intelligence?
than to avail the chance patiently

it saves you from the embarrassment
that is to follow with the comment
little time in presentation of thought
might save you from being caught

keep silent for a while
before walking a mile
that shall give you room to decide
take the refuge in heart to confide

it may earn temporary anger
from the stranger
but save you from further salvo
that is likely to offer blow

it is better to have no say
then to pay heavily later
it is wiser move
to prove a decisive factor
