Take My Umbrage Poem by tvzb menthol

Take My Umbrage

Taking Umbrage is sometimes neither nice nor necessary,
New takes on words may take offense,
May be off balance, off color
Yet Done in the Spirit of Play
And Irony
All in one
Startling
Pkg.

Please let it live and breathe and mellow

I thank you

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I'm fearful my first poem here, written in a vaguely Huntress Thompson mode, will (have been) censored before it can spread her wings. I hope not. I met hunter Thompson at two parties. He was intentionally vile but of course. I felt some pity actually. He signed a dollar bill for me, long lost. My wife was offended by his saying to her 'I pity you' when she more or less asked him who he was -- as in why husband are you asking for his autograph. Asked innocently enough and taken toxically. Little bit of a prick, eh.. Pity indeed. Please do not take Umbrage.
