Tainted By The Poisonous Touch Poem by Paula Glynn

Tainted By The Poisonous Touch

A narcissistic soul evil deep in their psychology
Their social front a trick to normal people
Their image all a clever facade
Like a rubber band that pings back into shape
Their prevalent evil and trickery exposed.

Their poisonous touch toxic
Their company solely about themselves
Their needs and wants always about them
Fooling the normal people into believing
That they are the ones in the wrong by disbelieving.

No emotional needs met by the narcissist
No emotional support or comfort there
Because the narcissist simply does not care
You can change yourself: you can bend to their will
But maybe it is still you they'd happily kill.

Pretending their expertise and incredible acting
Again their behaviour all a devious facade
Manipulating family as well as strangers
Their poisonous touch as black as their empty heart
Their tricks to mould you and spiderweb hold you.

They hold many prisoners in their iron vice
They always start by playing nice
They make the other blame themself
And try to steal that person's fortune: their wealth
Always secretly glad at the person's failing health.

Beware the stranger that says they're your friend
Because it may be all pretend
Their presence turning your own soul black
But stay true to your vibrant colours and feathers sacred
Don't let your heart become poisoned with black hatred.
