Tablets Poem by Stefan Splawinski

Tablets

cravers for comfort and wellbeing
chronicles of the contemporary age
recipe cards for everlasting life
destroyed by kindness not outrage

disorientated children of the fall
wandering flock of the chosen few
transposers of monotheistic cults
israel the home of the eternal jew

dangerous currents of life unknown
inventors of a million human needs
people who are superstition prone
electric splendour of dying breeds

resurrection for eternal truths
memory loss of movers and shakers
beholden only to the heaven above
peace made by greens and quakers

saviours of an embellished world
sublime inventor of new illusion
resplendent tokens of the living
junction of strife and confusion

will man be superseded by being
dialectics have grown most tired
an age of conscious human thought
where material ends have expired

training not education planned
formless ideas set for approval
slavery to a contrived ennunui
excellence set for quick removal

debased intention of the worldly
abandon hope you inputs of cost
treadmill round low values built
thus whole generations are lost

out of the muddled tribal jungle
who will grasp the chance to show
the solution for mere mortals is
far beyond mankinds reach to know
