T C Insidious E

Not so hard to say
after
Trichlorophenyl
methyl
iodisalicyl:
trichloroinsidiousethylene.

You splashed it around,
like you would
a thing with a pet-name 'Trike'.

You used it to degrease your hands.

It entered the ocean.

It lodged deep underground,
condemning the water.

You renamed it TCE;
left out Insidious.

It evaporates.
It inspires
poems and homes.
