Sword and sheath
To Shah came the reports:
- "Majesty, Your Highness,
-soldiers raped the women! "
Well-known is Shah Abbas
-for caring, and kindness.
Of him are stories
-on how he chose walking
-among the people to
-see the kind of living
-and the law enacting.
Shah shouted with anger,
-kept waving his sabre…
-sword in hand, swearing:
- "I will kill the rapists,
-go get them secretly…"
All the men turned beetroot
-silent, walls, they stood.
Fell the sword on ground
-servants ran, feeling numb,
-picked it up and tried
-to place sword in sheaf;
- (exactly where belongs!)
Men's efforts in sunlight
-was in vain, no result.
Spoke shah:
-look at you in day light
-can't enter the slot
-how can a soldier then
-enter her without help?
-…
Left the rest for judgement
-of the ones with gavels!
-and the ones with conscious.
