How lovely is this winter day!
The sweet cool wind to brush my cheek.
I look up at the sky: blue-gray-
But not at all so dark or bleak.

surely the winter is the best time u can enjoy the weather without being afraid of its fury and blaze like in summer-the burning summer
Winter's beauty is appreciated more when spring comes. Nicely said. Thank you.
Love the imagery. This is one of those poems that sticks in your mind
Hello Angelina. I loved your poem and felt the breeze as I read. Good work! Loyd
As winter has finally packed her suitcase, I wonder will I miss her much when the mercury soars and I crave a frosty eve! ! ! Well done to remind us each season vs it's own merits. PEACE
With the American spellings eg gray rather than the UK spelling which is grey, we may not get the full range of options that poemhunter provides eg sending an email that includes our poems. It's an idea to present a second version eg with the UK spelling as that extra option, so we may say that both versions exist should the reader wish to use the US or the UK version as an email, or perhaps in quoting either of these on some Internet blog. Some of us have our own poetry websites or visit poetry communities and share our poetry there, so if we edit our spellings we may get a more favourable feedback on these. We can download both UK and US dictionaries and spellcheckers to assist us, perhaps even grammar checkers to download or to use via their websites instead. A lot of foreign speaking poets and readers visit the poemhunter website and they may gain an extra insight into the UK and US languages if we also switch our words eg lift rather than elevator... and with a little editing, we may still produce a good representation of our work.
Excellent, as a wistful poem should be. A contrast to all those sunny day poems. A good poem style using the 8,8,8,8 syllables structure. The poet should observe the way that the weather presents itself, not just in the curly-whirly cloud formations or the intensity of the sun's heat and light, but the way it all makes us feel inside, reflective and appreciative of even the tiniest of blessings encountered. For these are the genuine highlights of each day. Just as long as we maintain what every poet seeks to share with others as an expression of thanksgiving and praise. Elementary, my dear Holmes!
Nature is a subject the poets takes up as their theme for the number of poems written so far. here the poet took the theme in its correct method and style and interests much.
