Surrender The Truth Of My Soul Poem by Kellyn, A Grau

Surrender The Truth Of My Soul

Petals, they stay stagnant in my hand.
Reminders on the wind as I reach out to freedom
So soft, they flutter, towards the unknown
I close my eyes and surrender

Dance by the turn of the seasons
Break from seed and shine into awakening
Each leaf that blooms is another extension
One that has yet to be explored

Blood drips from my fingers
Feeding into the dream like state
That each bloom should speak clearly
If I listen close enough then they will teach me

Aggression, devotion, loyalty
All but thrive on one branch
Pain, torment, loving nature
Each paint the foundation for the others

Colors of silks and oceans and stars
They all weave the fabric of my persona
Each string that I cast is meant for an owner
One oddly enough the perfect fit for my hunger

I am searching, collecting, building
Tenderly molding what I see is my future
Each face, the light in their eyes, is ownership given light
They are body, soul, life, and mine

The weeds will grow
Leaving in their steed uncertainty
Needles of poison left to prick my throat
To taint the truth of the objective at hand
And leave me breathless and frustrated

Yet with weeds come death and reassurance
I am confidence and know no limit
The master of myself and I remind them of this
Their voices snuffed to the sound of my teeth

I am I, my soul bare for exposure
A peek into the mind of the conquest
Though songs may sing of theft or normalcy
I shed those skins and break into flame
I am I, Master, Lover, Owner, and simply I
