To Kanniappan. Rarely do you see a supercentenarian run a marathon, although it has happened. But for the most part, yes, they are at a scary place in their lives—infirmed, fragile and in need of adequate support. I think the problem of neglect is a big issue everywhere. Dear God, please, always protect and keep them is my prayer. PS: it will coming to all of us - if we live long enough. Thank you Kanniapan, for your valuable input.
Interesting poem Walterrean, with a touch of humour. Well penned.
Normally we greet people to live long for 100 years, but i think it is very rare to live without any disease or disability without the help from others. I see here people in poor homes uncared by the kith and kin.
Going strong with a century won is no small boon! But it is not easily got! Years of discipline and systematic living with a heart capable of love and forgiveness together form the secret of longevity according to psychologists! I too join you in wishing the supercentenarians long life and every possible bliss!
This captures a journey through time, and what a journey some people have.
good write, thanks, I invite you to read my poems and comment.
