Sunflower Poem by alicia cross

Sunflower

She's a blossom in the sunlight,
The new sacred leaf on the tree;
She lies upon the rain kissed grass,
Gazing into the rainbow with her mysterious eyes;
Wandering upon God's precious creation,
Glimpsing into the future with optimism;
The shadow of the day begins to collapse upon her,
She's intrigued with the stars gleaming upon the sea;
Every smile, cry, and word is vital to the delicate seed,
Because it appears to be over in seconds;
