Sunday Vive Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Sunday Vive

Rating: 4.5

Wish the rain to pour heavy
Upon the trees standing tall across
The small patch of my garden

Laying in the bed with half closed eyes
I long to listen its music and in rhythm
Shake my feet under the sheet

The raindrops crash against the pane
And slide down to make a pool below
Where in the surly sparrows wash their wings

The trees bow as if paying obeisance to
The high hills sitting still afar at the
Edge of the valley watching the seasons
To pass one by one

I open the windows to let the cool wind
Come in and make my eyelids heavy
As I pull the sheet over my head
