Sunday Melody Poem by Quasir Hassan

Sunday Melody

'In thirty winters of searching, I'd never found my peace
Until the moment thy skin touched mine, and my soul released

A lifetime of longing, a heartbeat of bliss
Transcending time, our love became the kiss...

That awakened my senses, and soothed my soul
Your fingers in my hair, a gentle, loving hold

The warmth, the joy, the sensation I'd never known
In your arms, my heart finds its home

Life, it seems, had been unfair, hiding you from me
now in thy sanctuary of heart, I'm free to be

Your breath, a life to my withered soul
Your touch, a healing power that makes me whole
In your aura, I find solace, a peaceful nest
Your fragrance, a scent that roses could tempt!

You live in my poems, my soul's rhyme
Forever with you, my heart will beat in time

Let me not define you, for words fall short
You are the melody that resonates within my heart...!
