Summertime Lyric Poem by james watkin

Summertime Lyric

Opes widest, brightest
For its invite;
Rust-blazed, by what, bird-lilting
In were first led.
The day's summer-gated
Joy-leavened site.

Children's free roaming.
Yours and mine too.
With pinions on the feet;
Hill to hill, leapt.
With love in heart, safe kept
Lost in the blue.
