Summer's Rose Poem by Margaret Purslow

Summer's Rose

Rating: 5.0

Light, it's brilliance I've never known
Showers your being and takes you home
You're gone. There are a shadows in the room
You've left too soon.

A million questions filter through my mind
Jagged puzzle pieces that will not fit
It is as my eyes are fused shut and I am blind.
You are out of time.

My soul feels broken
A part of me is taken

I weep in screaming yelps
Your beating heart is a pulp

I miss you as if there were endless night
Only you know my continuous plight
Today I smiled at Summers first red rose
You're not gone and I'm am not alone.
