Summer's Light Poem by james watkin

Summer's Light

All that reflects amiably
Off waves, in canvassed playfellow
Of sou'wester
Is smiled into reality
Of the summer.

In their boated siblings as well,
Coaxed of a wind's sucklings, from out
Their inlet-stalls.
Under what heartens, cape-clear
For lighthouse walls.

Foaming up on shorelines, what they're
Honoured for, in kindled outlooks
That rave as they run
Is soaked of this enlivening flush
Of a season.
