Thank you for all of your nice and informative comments. I'm sorry that summers are so difficult where you are. I live in a colder climate, where summer is much looked forward to.
But in more temperate world, summer is lovable, with the exit of the dark days of winter.
2. In Delhi, the capital of India, it is horrible, with temperatures over 45 degrees C, highly polluted parched air, deaths so common. Each summer is an End-of-the-world.
Summer has a different hue in every different geographic area. In my place, Kerala at the southern tip of Indian Subcontinent, summer is harsh, with water dwindling, temperatures soaring upto 38 degrees C.
