The sweet smell of it Wednesday nights, the night before auction, when the misery of cows greets me heading home through town. Lake quiets, tired of my lies. When will I tell truths again? A poem well describing compromise while being torn between two important things, emotion and bonds Great work.10++ for it. Thanks for sharing this poem. Subhas
Intriguing twists and turns, presenting something peaceful to the reader with one hand while taking it back with the other. Wednesday night auctions- -sounds so innocent- -until the miserable mooing of the cows.... they're being sold to the slaughter house. Contradictions and puzzling clues- -great write!
Great poem depicting conflicting emotions. We humans dream and desire best but understand the limitations and value of compromise.
After a days duty returning home is always happy. So beautifully narrated in the poem.
Heading towards home after work. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
