Vain summer tempts us
With it verdant, lusty spread
Of wild flowers, and
Trees, of all persuasions.
Its warm, sensual
Breezes tease pallid blue skies.
Vain summer transforms,
The gently blossoming, and
Dream- like innocence
Of spring, with its teeming, fresh
Pink and white magic,
Into something tainted
By reality,
And brightly experienced.
In all its green and
Gold glory, summer teaches
Its' apprentice ways,
That are much more vivacious!
