Summer Heat Poem by Daniel Miltz

Summer Heat

Rating: 5.0

Morning heat leaks
Hot eyes astray
Panting for air seeks
Smelling the heat of the day
Earth drying in the bake
Noonday sun, beat down, skake
Scorching heat, sweat pours
Showing no mercy outdoors
Grass frying at noon, bright
Beams of gushing light
Roasting, broiling pavement
Dancing in the flames element
With sparks in my ballet
Soon, summer melting away
Hopefully, with cold breeze, I pray
Then, I will pen 'Cold Wintery'
